Environment

Schjerning Farver produces clean colours without traces of agents which may damage the environment or the health of the user. We comply with the most stringent requirements of the market. The colours are A-labelled, which is a voluntary, Danish environmental norm, which places even heavier requirements to the cleanliness of the contents than any other norm. Our colours do not contain any allergens, PVC, phthalates or heavy metals and only a tenth of permitted dissolvent and preservative agents. The colours are cleaner than required by Danish law and much cleaner than required by European standards. 

 

 

Schjerning Farver has been certified according to ISO 14001 since 1998. This will guarantee our high standard and secure an environmentally acceptable production. We classify our waste materials and make sparing use of electricity and water. The impartial environmental control, Eurofins, controls the contents of the components, which we purchase for our production. We only use European suppliers, who have a reputation of protecting the environment and informing reliably of the contents of their products. 

 

In 2004 Schjerning Farver received the Product Award for Sustainable Development from EU. We try to live up to the award and continuously develop new, environmentally friendly hobby colours and glue in order that children and grown ups can use it without worrying.
