Schjerning Farver produces clean colours without traces of agents that may damage the environment or the health of the user. We comply with the most stringent requirements of the market. The colours are A-labelled, which is a voluntary Danish environmental norm, which places even heavier requirements on the cleanliness of the contents than any other norm. Our colours do not contain any allergens, PVC, phthalates or heavy metals, and only a tenth of the permitted dissolvent and preservative agents. The colours are cleaner than required by Danish law and much cleaner than required by European standards.

Schjerning Farver has been certified according to ISO 14001 since 1998. This guarantees our high standard and ensures an eco-friendly production. We sort our waste materials and make sparing use of electricity and water. The impartial environmental control agency, Eurofins, checks the contents of the ingredients that we purchase for our production. We only use European suppliers who are known to protect the environment and provide reliable information about the contents of their products.

In 2004, Schjerning Farver received the Product Award for Sustainable Development from the EU. We strive to live up to the award and continuously develop new, eco-friendly hobby colours and glue for children and adults to use without worrying.
